Downtown Triple Date

Our friends have been talking for months about getting a babysitter so we could all go downtown and have a night out.  Since Mark and Chantal will be moving back to Canada in less than a month we could wait no longer.  They got a sitter for the two babies and we headed to Churrasco's for dinner.

I absolutely love Argentinian food and ate until I couldn't eat any more.  We had some of the best steak we have ever had in our lives.  You could cut it with a fork and it melted in your mouth. Between the steak and the plantain chips I was in heaven!  The meal was simply wonderful! Churrasco's never disappoints!

After dinner we had time to go to Sonoma Wine Bar for a couple drinks before returning home.  It was a fabulous night out on the town!

that we love wine?

Rob Returns!

Our friend Rob recently moved back to Houston after spending a year in California.  His birthday was last weekend so we were more than happy to go out with him and celebrate both his birthday and him being back in Houston!

Family Vacation

Because we were already in South Carolina for Katie and Adam's wedding we decided to use the opportunity to spend some time with both of our families.  My sister-in-law, niece, and nephew were in town so we tried to make the most of the time we had together.  William and Lauren came to the wedding and danced the night away!

After the wedding we headed to Surfside Beach to spend a few days in the sun and the sand.  I loved getting to spend the time with Lauren, William, Beth, Courtney, and my parents.  I just wish we could have stayed longer.

So stinkin' cute
Love these kids!
We left the beach midweek and drove back to my parents but not without a stop at Shealy's BBQ. Shealy's has the best fried chicken I've had anywhere and I didn't want to lose the chance to get some!
Fried chicken perfection.  Nothing better than
a Shealy's pulley bone!
On Wednesday my parents drove us to Social Circle, GA to eat at the Blue Willow Inn and to transfer us to Derek's parents so we could spend the rest of the week with him.  On we went to Atlanta for a few days of shopping and celebrating Derek's mother being 5 years cancer free!  Congratulations, Janet!

It was a wonderful week spent with both our families and we look forward to getting to see everyone again!

Katie and Adam - The Perfect Pair

Memorial Day weekend I had the honor of attending the marriage of one of my very best friends, Katie, to one amazing man, Adam. From the first time I met Adam I knew he was going to be someone special and I could not be more thrilled that he and Katie are married.

Friday night was the rehearsal and a Texas themed dinner. Adam is from outside of Houston and loves to eat brisket and wear cowboy boots as much as we do!

The awesome Texas themed cake

Loved the glasses. So cute!

Me and the Beautiful Bride
Saturday morning we had a delicious brunch with all of the bridesmaids, Katie, her family, and family-to-be.  It was a relaxing time before a rushed day of hair and makeup appointments, getting dressed, and getting to the church on time.  I decided to put the new camera to good use and tried to capture as many moments of such a wonderful and exciting day.  These are just a few of my favorites:
