Rock Stars Dinner and Dance

Rodeo'd up!

Last weekend we had the opportunity to go to another Dinner and Dance.  When we went to our first D&D in October we had no idea what to expect but this time we were ready.  The theme for this one was Rock Stars so we decided to go as Taylor Swift and Brad Paisley.  After discussing our plans with a few coworkers we realized they would have no idea who we were trying to be (they were familiar with Taylor Swift but don't know any male country singers).  With no backup plan we stuck with the country theme and dressed like we were going to the rodeo.  Despite a few stares walking to the MRT, we were comfortable and enjoyed having an excuse to wear our boots.
Derek's group had four tables at this event with two being for those that dressed up and two for those that didn't.  We were at the 'not dressed up' tables but seeing as how the other two tables were dressed it makes sense.

Like the last one, there was a Chinese Set Dinner served while they had entertainment onstage.  The whole program was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.  There was a live band, costume competitions, karaoke, door prizes, and a little bit of dancing.

It was a great night out!  Hopefully next year will bring more D&Ds or Dinner and Dress-up as Derek and I have started to call it!
