We are officially moved into our new apartment! Last Monday our movers arrived with our container and moved everything up to our 22nd floor apartment we now call home. The movers were lightning fast and got everything unloaded and unpacked in just one day. This left us to spend Tuesday moving out of our temporary apartment and getting everything organized and put away.
I'm anxious to share some photos of the new place but I want to wait on a few rooms until we have had the handyman come and hang up all our wall art and we have found the last few things we need to make this place feel complete. We have seriously missed having the convenience of Bed, Bath, and Beyond, Lowe's, and Target! You would never believe how difficult it was to find a tension rod or sheer curtain.
Even though the move went really smoothly, there were a few casualties. The biggest loss was my jewelry box and Derek's valet box mysteriously didn't make it. Because of the way everything was organized room by room when the movers came in Houston there is no excuse for it to have not made it to Singapore except for it growing legs and leaving with one of the packers. Fortunately we took almost all of our valuable things out of the boxes so we didn't lose much. It's just the fact that they would steal from us that makes us so angry.
